Nothing new is really going on for
us right now. Dave has finished his last semester of his second year of law
school. He is glad to be done with research and writing because it consumed so
much of his time. However, since he is a transfer student he needs a few
classes to catch up with the other students in his year, so he is taking
classes during the summer.
I am still working at the daycare.
Since October we have gone from a steady 10 kids to 15 kids. My classroom is
supposed to only be 12 month olds - 3 years olds but the class my kids are
supposed to move up to was full, so I had five almost 3 1/2 year old boys up
until last week. Total insanity. My staff and I were literally just trying to
make it to nap time. Then after nap time we just tried to survive till parents
picked up. It was a hard few months and being told to just wait it out was not
easy. Anyway, my numbers drastically dropped and I have about 7 kids. Much
better and the age gap is not so extreme now but in reality my age gap is
rather extreme based on developmental ranges for the age groups I have. I mean
really a 12 month old and 2 ½ year old are on extremely different developmental
stages. As you can see work is what consumes my life.
Buffy is doing awesome. She is
fully potty trained- has been for a while. She used to just sit at the door
silently and if you didn’t come to her fast enough she would have an accident
in the apartment. That happened twice and that’s when we got some bells that
hang next to the door. Now she rings them with her little nose until you take
her outside. She loves to find people…we may play hide and seek with her
in our apartment. We are those people that dote over their dog like it is their
child. :) She loves the dog park. She
is really funny at the dog park for the most part she is there to greet the
people and when a dog approaches her of any size she just flops right over and
lays on her back. She has just recently started to try to play with other dogs.
She is a really fast runner. She can out run a lot of dogs that are 3 times her
size. See! I told you we dote over our dog like she is our child.
There you have it! Our lives are
just school and work and work and school. We come home and just relax with the
pup and then do it all over again the next day.
Buffy really enjoys belly rubs.
